The San Francisco Film Centre is located in San Francisco’s Presidio, originally fortified as a military outpost in 1776, transferring hands between Spain, Mexico, and eventually the United States in 1848.

In 1938 the building was constructed as US Army barracks, and was included as a National Historic Landmark in 1962.

Today, it operates as a mixed used space, including housing film post-production companies in collaboration with the SF Film Society, as well as other San Francisco local events.
